House Clearance ServiceHow it works

In a nutshell – we buy, or we charge

General Clearance Chargeable Service:

We offer a full, or part house clearance service in the SK postcode area. Other areas just outside may also be covered.

Give us a call on 01625 859373 to discuss your requirements. Alternatively, email us at shop@recollections.co.uk.

  1. An appointment will be made to view the property. If you live some distance away, or abroad, we will meet you or your representative when convenient.
  2. Remove, or tell us about, all the items you wish to keep. Our quotation is based on everything discussed at the time. Another quotation will be provided should the situation change.
  3. We will give you a quotation, based on a charge for the amount of general household items to be disposed and labour costs. This may be offset against any items that we consider to be of interest to us. We are charged by the Local Authority to dispose of waste. Authority-imposed charges are based on weight of load and size of vehicle, and separate charges made for fridges, freezers, mattresses, TVs etc. We do not give quotations over the telephone.
  4. After viewing the property, if the quotation is acceptable to you, we will then arrange a suitable date to clear the contents. All household and general contents will be disposed of through our licensed waste carriers and taken to authorised, designated sites. Charges for this contingency, labour and overheads are made to cover this. Any items that can be re-used will be separated for our own use.
  5. All credit cards accepted.

NOTE: No call-out charge is made, but we would hope to work with you to reach a mutually-acceptable arrangement at the time of our appointment. If you have already contacted other service-providers, we would be happy to offer you a cost-efficient alternative, if applicable. We are unable to offer a Free Valuation Service.

FREE ‘PICK & PACK’ SERVICE

As an alternative way forward to helping you clear a house, why not ask us to ‘pick and pack’ items to remove free of charge. We will take away clean household textiles and clothes that you have bundled up, or we can help you do this. We may take some donated items away for you immediately, by car, or arrange transport, if items are suitable for our use. Please ring and chat to me about this before you start to clear. Call 01625 859373 or ask Angela to ring you back regarding ‘Pick & Pack’.

Quality Clearances Bought

If you wish to sell items, please contact us to see if we are interested in buying.

Items we may be interested in buying from you:

  • Antiques, collectables, jewellery
  • Quality household items: top-brand interior furnishings, solid pine furniture, chests of drawers, mirrors, lamps, cream and gilt bedroom suites etc. Single items may be considered, but transport costs may prohibit this, unless the item is of exceptional quality or desirability.
